Option 1. K wire fixation
Pros:
a. Early movement can be given
b. Quicker recovery and return to normal activities
c. Can be performed as daycare surgery without hospital admission
Cons:
a. May not be possible to do in severely comminuted fracture
Option 2. Finger strapping
Pros:
a. Can be done even in severely comminuted fractures
Cons:
a. Prolonged immobilisation may result in finger stiffness.
b. Small bony bump may be seen
