Dr. Sharjeel Khan is an eminent Orthopaedician known for his adept subject knowledge and precise surgical skills. He is the best orthopaedician in treating all types of fractures in adults and children. He has performed and assisted hundreds of Arthroscopic procedures for sports related injuries of the knee and shoulder. He has also assisted in innumerable Hip Replacements (Total and Partial) and Knee replacements as well. Apart from these, he is adept at treating common deformities of adults and children (club foot, gun stock elbow deformity, knock knees and bow knees to name a few). Besides these, Dr. Sharjeel Khan also performs meticulous surgeries of the spine. Common problems like joint pain, back pain, knee osteoarthritis, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow etc pose no challenge to Dr. Sharjeel Khan: through carefully planned stage-wise treatment protocol, he has single-handedly cured thousands of such patients. Last but not least, Dr Sharjeel Khan also applies his updated knowledge in treating common bone tumours in children and adults.
Early Life and Education
Born to a family of doctors and having excelled throughout his school life, he was determined to become a doctor with only one aim in mind ie. to help people. With that goal in mind, he achieved rank 18 (unreserved) in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) and studied MBBS in Medical College, Kolkata, the most reputable and oldest medical medical college in Asia. Spending five and a half years honing his clinical skills, he pursued one year of training in Plastic Surgery at Medical College, Kolkata. Upon securing one of the top most ranks in NEET-PG, he trained in Orthopaedics at IPGME&R and SSKM Hospital, Kolkata. He toiled away day and night acquiring necessary skills to treat and cure thousands of patients visiting SSKM Hospital and Trauma Centre. After obtaining Masters Degree in Orthopaedics, he went on to receive DNB Orthopaedics under National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. After that, he was awarded the prestigious Fellowship in Spine Surgery by the Spine Society of West Bengal. His clinical acumen and surgical skills were developed under constant support from stalwarts in the field of Orthopaedics and Spine Surgery. Dr. Sharjeel Khan also takes active part in clinical meets, quizzes, seminars and conferences: he has helped to organise a few of these and has used the podium to showcase interesting clinical cases and innovative surgical techniques to the national and international community of Orthopaedicians.
